What "Danish" means, and why recent months look bigger.

What counts as Danish?

Written in Danish, not every advert shown in Denmark. We read the EU's public advert archive; adverts in English, or too short to tell, are not counted.

Are videos counted as shops?

No. Shops are counted in Danish, videos in any language. YouTube videos are named on their own and never added to the number of shops.The totals in the picture above are everything we hold, in every language.

Why do recent months look bigger?

The archive keeps running adverts and drops finished ones, so every line slopes up partly for that reason.

Does it tell me what will sell?

No. It shows what shops pay to sell, not what will sell for you. Who posted an advert is thrown away before anything is saved.
